And now, you have it in the form of a conservative MP by the name of Jason Kenney. A couple days ago, he was one of the ones to jump on a couple liberal party members for suggesting Hezbollah be removed from Canada’s official list of terrorist groups. And, in true conservative style, he puts his support behind another group on the same list. And this would be why I voted independent in the last election. Neither of the two big players will grow the hell up.

Or maybe it’s just that the people who’re dooing the law-ing don’t have a clue. Either way, they’re suing a Brazillian office over a social networking site they run, based out of the US. I don’t follow Brazillian law, but… um.. well… usually you don’t sue a company in one country, particularly when the office in question doesn’t have anything to do with what you’re suing for, because that same company in another country is doing it, do you? I wouldn’t. The office they’re suing, apparently, deals strictly with ad sales… so my guess is it doesn’t even have a say in that particular issue. Blah. I need to brush up on my international law.

Homeless guy, or rather, a guy who’s using an abandoned shack for a home, gets evicted for construction reasons in Toronto. The sad part is, I can see both sides of this little problem. It’s rare I don’t have an opinion on something, so that in itself deserves a note on here. Stupid media and its stupid making me stupid indecisive… Okay, I’m over it.

Corperate backlash at AOL
A couple weeks ago AOL was all pleased with themselves after publishing search data that most people didn’t even know they collected. Why they didn’t know it is beyond me… I mean, everyone collects information about everyone in one way or another… and you’d be surprised just how much trouble an apparently randomly generated user ID can cause. Enough trouble that they’ve gone from patting themselves on the back to firing people. Unfortunately, the guy who did the actual publishing is getting canned along with the people who told him to, but hey, at least he’s trying to fight it. The executives who’re getting shown the door don’t really have a legal leg to stand on… he might, though. I dunno, maybe it’s just my oddness, but there’s just something that out and out pisses me off about someone getting fired on the basis that someone else, who’s also getting fired, screwed up. Particularly when if he’d of said no, he’d of been fired and the screw-ups would have kept their jobs. Gah. I love mankind… it’s people I can’t stand.

Don’t ask me which ruleset they use–I don’t play it, I just know they have it since I moonlight as one of the guys that maintains the servers these games sit on. So, anyway. I don’t RP in person because, well, I don’t. But I get plenty of my fill online. There, and a few other places. I should post logs of some of said RP up here. Eventually. Maybe. Feh, hell no.

I was in a tinkering mood again.
No, for once in my blogging life, nothing broke or needed fixing this time around… the fix was already posted about. A conversation I had over emails with someone, though, gave me an idea. And, since I’m always up for doing things I haven’t seen anyone else do yet, that idea was just now implemented. Fans of lazyness everywhere rejoice–you can now comment on entries right from the main page. What… you didn’t actually expect something ground breaking, did you? Remember who’s blog this is, here… ground breaking for me is I’m awake before noon. But, yeah. That would be the extent of my tinkering today, lest I do end up breaking something. And now, I think it’s time I get productive…ish.

So, comments actually work properly now.
For the longest time, I had absolutely no clue why it is you’d choose the ‘remember me’ option and, well, the server wouldn’t remember you. Until a couple days ago when I discovered, in my infinite (read: lacking) wisdom, I left one very small thing out of the HTML behind the site. Nothing earth shattering, just enough to make it really irritating. Well, anyway. It’s been fixed, and I feel stupid. It only took me 8 months to realize it.

So, as if my government bashing didn’t give it away…
I am back. And full. Breakfast was much fun. The rest of the morning… about as much fun as a trip to the clinnic can be. Kinda necessary, though, considering my mom and cousin both needed to have stuff looked at. But, all in all, it was out, which is still more than I can say for how I spent my weekend. My brother ended up joining us for all of about 15 minutes for breakfast, which was… kind of odd, given he never bothers doing that. Guess he’s feeling a little more confident about his latest job prospect or somesuch… I dunno. Either way, if he gets fired from this one I’m gonna laugh my ass off at him. Then demand he pays me back what he owes me anyway. And now, time to do what it is I do best… absolutely nothing. Yay lazy!
