It’s the start of April. The official start of spring for any sports fan. And, the official start of the 2010 baseball season. There’s a crap ton of young bats turning loose on this team, and even more waiting in the wings. Will we make the playoffs this year? Not a clue. I’d be happy with doing better than last season, personally. And to welcome in the 2010 baseball season, as only a Jays fan can, have a theme song in video format. Okay, Bluejays, let’s play ball. And win something.

Jays Finalize Pitching Staff
The Toronto Blue Jays have finalized their pitching staff after sending Brett Cecil and Josh Roenicke to AAA Las Vegas. The starting rotation will consist of Shaun Marcum, Ricky Romero, Brandon Morrow, Brian Tallet and Dana Eveland. The bullpen will consist of Jason Frasor, Kevin Gregg, Scott Downs, Shawn Camp, Merkin Valdez, Casey Janssen and Jeremy Accardo.
Although I don’t expect much from this team, I feel optimistic.
For some reason, there’s a few of those names on that list that have me actually rather concerned. Oh, I know why–they bit last year. Gonna be a long season, methinks.
